Job Description The Shop & Warehouse Technician will repair and calibrate specified scales and wrappers as well as interact with Measurement Canada Official to ensure we are compliant with government standards. The incumbent will perform shop repairs and maintenance, pick, pack, ship, receive, unload & load trucks, check in & out parts and equipment as well as store in appropriate locations for the Kinnear Branch. This is a unionized position. Essential Functions: Conduct assessment inspections, testing, repairs, and calibration of specified scales and wrappers to Weights & Measurement Canada Standards as needed for customer orders. Coordinate with Measurement Canada to certify scales and prepare required documents and reports. Repair and ship warranty or repaired equipment to vendors. Perform shop repairs and maintenance; Adjust equipment and repairs or replace defective parts, components or systems. Test repaired equipment for performance and ensure that work meets manufacturers’ specifications. Clean, lubricate and performs other routine maintenance work on customer equipment. Unpack, uncrate, repack and recrate equipment as needed by management. Travel across the GTA area to s…
